I really dig “coffee cheeks.” Nice touch, man. Also, how do you format your poems like that? I won’t copy you, but I would like to do a cool stationary kind of thing.
Thanks Sarah! I personally use Photoshop with 2 layers. 1 layer for the pic of the paper and one for the text. I found a free typewriter font I like online for the text. Should be able to use Paint.NET as well (free photo editor)
I can show you how if you like 🙂
Y’know, I’ve been checking to see if any new poems were up. I couldn’t help smiling when I saw this one. Keep bringing ’em. My favourite parts are “coffee cheeks” and the last line.
Thanks so much my brother Wendell. I have no chance at matching your skills of daily inspirations flowing into perfection, but I’ll try 🙂 God bless you and your family.
I’ve been checking for new poems. And today I see this beautiful poem! Well-written. You’re right eyes don’t lie. who’s this beautiful Angel Eyes with coffee cheeks? You have a good grasp of romantic writing. We want more 🙂
Aww, thanks Lydie. I’m honored.
Who is she? She’s my Angel Eyes! 😀 I really do hope for the inspiration to start writing more again. Between work and all of my artistic outlets it feels challenging sometimes. Have a blessed weekend!
Hello Love, this one touched the depths of my soul as I read it. They were more then words but love’s heart written for all eyes to see and feel. To be able to capture a single heartbeat can be a challenge and you’ve manage to capture a spark of love within the beat! Eyes don’t lie and you’ve read them well. Big Hugs!
Hey beautiful. Thanks so much for your comment here that blesses my soul. There is a big story in this one and still feels inconclusive, but it is of past as well. Big hugs to you as well. I’m still thinking about this circus 😀
As you said in your about page, you are a romantic writer and this poem is romantically beautiful, liked this one very much.
I know you´re slow with responding no problem with that people are busy, but if you have a time can you answer this question or thought?
I still can´t figure out how you or for that matter other people can put the writing the style of it in that type of background. Does wordpress have something specific for doing this?
Thanks Charly. That is done completely outside of WordPress and then posted as a photo here. My above reply to Sarah explains how I did it, but you have to be a little familiar with a photo editor of your choice.
Thanks Jennifer. It brightened my day to see your smile here 🙂
Yeah, I’m wondering when this “in-between inspiration” phase will finally conclude and I can do more of what I love. Writing…
I’ve been waiting for more on your site as well 😛
Touche, now that’s the problem with being a writer, that tiny bit called ‘inspiration’ If it ain’t there, the cursor won’t move. And coffee doesn’t help either.
Yeah, if coffee helped I’d have several new posts every day 🙂
I just decided I’ll start a photography site on WordPress after a 3 day trip I’m leaving for tomorrow.
This is absutely beautiful! She asked him to think of her when it rains if they get seperated which means their love is way beyond the physical realms!
I am glad you don’t write hundreds of poems every week. I’d never sleep! They affect me deeply and I am reminded, and reminded again of the beauty of the human spirit. In particular, yours.
Not at all surprising Scott. Words like that have to come from the heart. You’ve also presented it beautifully.
I saw the exchange you had with another reader and your generosity in sharing your artistic technique. Kudos to you – I will have to go back and take notes. It’s Australia Day on Monday and cooler conditions forecasted. Hope so! Have a good weekend!
