such a thirst it is ..i fight it each day :) lovely truly
Thank you Leslie! I’m so happy someone can relate to this! :)
oh yes, it is my poison .. and i fight everyday and i am winning the battle ..but my heart is the price .. does that make sense ..
I was happy to see “Evoking the Deep” show up in my email, Scott, and your poem deeply tugs at the heart, expressing the ache when departing is inevitable…beautiful comeback!
Thanks so much Lauren. It felt good to post again :)
Yeah, departing is never easy in some circumstances.
For some reason I focused only on the departing, but the thirst emotion is beautiful, too, Scott, and can’t be denied when two lovers part…(I had to add this :))
Very true Lauren and thanks for the added thought. Both parts are intensely felt. A double whammy :D
[…] beautiful note “Juncture” from Evoking the Deep. Love and longing is wonderfully […]
Love this! So intimate and telling.
Thank you Brenda! I’ve always thought about how I’d like to say big things with few words, but haven’t given much effort to trying it until now.
You succeeded! I spent a year reading and writing haiku poems. Amazing how a few words can capture the essence of so much. Keep on with your poignant writing please. :)
Ah, there’s nothing like a cuppa. Very evocative poem, Scott.
Yes, dark and rich or even sweet. :) Thank you Nadine. I’m very honored by such a comment coming from you.
You’re most welcome, Scott! I love your writing style. :-)
I’m now following you on Twitter. See you there!
Got you there too now! :)
YAY! Thanks! :-)
You need to write more Scott! Outstanding and so you! I have been away from my computer over the last two weeks. I really like your poem!
I’m glad you’re back. and what a comeback! Love the moment you’ve captured there :)
Thanks Lydie! I really feel I’ll be inspired soon to write much more. I’ve been kinda focused on some other art forms recently, but my love for poetry never ceases
You have a gift for creating fluid verses. Keep on writing:)
My gosh Scott.. This is.. amazing.. I missed your writing since school and graduation and then new job has been kicking my tooshie. But i’m back now. And as always i just love your words.. :-)
Thanks so much Abi. I missed yours too for a while there. I always loved your style and the deep soul you share in words. Glad to see you back!
Wow, this was incredible!
Beautiful piece, saying so much using few words.
Thank you Lora. I’m hoping I can get some things figured out here and start some inspired writing again.
Hey love, nice to see you posting again although I’ve been away too but this was nice to come back to! Words have the power to spark the imagination and fuel the desires of the heart. Hugs.
Thanks sweet Valarie. You saying that means a lot. Good to see you back too. I was happy to see your post today!
How has been your summer? For me its gone by way too fast.
It’s gone by way too fast for me as well. It started nicely and now just feels like I want to hibernate until next summer :)
I don’t like winter much lol

I know what you mean, especially with this past winter…yikes! Lol
Fabulous, I love the last line especially–you really draw the reader into the scene.
Thanks! Yes, the last line is the main point and I’m glad you mentioned it. The poet isn’t sure if he should pursue or let her walk away. (I believe he pursued, but that’s a different story) :D
Loved the imagery here. You created a great scene her with only a few lines. Very cool.
Also, thanks for the like!
Thanks Blubarz! I’ve been wanting to get better at capturing scenes with only a few words that everyone can understand and even relate to the moment. I’m still working on it :)
Is he in love or lust? Maybe a little bit of both.
magnificent poetry Scott.
Haha, good observation and question Shian. Probably more in lust and questioning what he should do at that point (and not wanting to show his thoughts to her.) Thanks so much!
Thanks Pooja. I’m honored :)
haha like this :)
So, who killed who in this story…
haha, she ended up killing his heart
