I thought I’d always be near
to absorb your pains
Fate separated
but my desire remains
I’m writing this for you
as we’re off to new starts
Please print it and place it
in a pocket near your heart
When you’re feeling down
from events of the day
Force a smile to bloom
upon your pretty face
I’ve learned how your heart is
Sweet with good purpose
You need to be strong girl
this world is a circus
Our plan changed greatly
as I’m not there to hold
Yet there’s a place in my heart
and it never grows cold
Healing words elude me
to sponge away the blue
But a special promise lives,
remember? I keep it only for you

Is my upper lip supposed to slowly crawl up as I read? Anger coagulate in my blood? I think I might need that murder plot therapy more than you now. I don’t do well with stabbed hearts in font.
What do we do when we open ourself up and lay down our soul to make them happy? And then they turn and walk away? It makes me want a name and an address. Just to make them look back and face the heart and soul they’re dragging in the dirt behind them. The only poetic words I can think for **** like that is “**** her!”
Sorry if that’s too harsh, it just seems fitting for anybody who would be irresponsible with somebody’s heart and soul after they’ve proceeded past second base. What is that, like half a murder? You don’t die, but neither can you live?
I promise not to respond again to another one of these poems, as I’m sure it’s not the best medicine. But then sometimes it helps to know that people are pissed for you, even if you’re too nice to be.

that’s really nice. Well written. I’ve been on my blogs lately and need to get back and write new chapters to my novels. I keep putting it off until tomorrow. But have been enjoying writing lots of poetry.
