Saying good bye is not hard
I’m happy as I write this last note
You’re wrong if you think I’m scarred
{SHH! I think I feel my heart in my throat!}
Saying good bye is so smart
“We” couldn’t work as we first planned
Applause as I’m off to a new start
{OH NO! My legs are too weak to stand!}
Saying good bye was in need
The love simply don’t remain
I was happy when you said I’m free
{OMG! I can’t stand the pain!}
Now I say the last good bye
I thought we had something true
Maybe it was a lie
{But I’ll always pray for God to bless you}

I agree Suzanne and thanks. I think some “good byes” are never really felt and we carry something with us forever. Just maybe…

Most good-byes are hard to do…Some come easy and are even looked forward to, some aren’t even worth saying good-bye to. Your good-bye struck a pain in my heart that I wonder how you are.
Hugs, xx

To completely move on, it begins in the heart with the release of feelings once held intensely! This poem shows the new freedom, especially in the last line where you will still pray for your friend!

“It’s easy to say goodbye” hahahahaha …This resonates so much with me right now it’s not funny…saying goodbye’s one of the worst parts of life but it’s necessary to create space for new and potentially better experiences.
