Soul Mirror

I am a stained puddle of life,
reflecting the stars

My surface disturbed,
a passing breeze

That disturbance appears,
to make the stars shimmer

But in reality they remain,
still and silent

I could dry,
I could disappear forever

Yet I would be blessed,
if you first have a drink

If I can replace something,
one ounce of thirsty desire

I have achieved a task so great,
I savored the limits,
of a heart’s universe
