As my eyes settle
upon my one
luminous flower
The light of its flame
burns, as my only desire
What you see as faults
or a rip in your petals
Simply bring to my lips
and make it sweet
like honey and wine
My souls pollen
as I forget every other
like star dust
I absorb your colors
and trickles from your eyes
If you used to kneel, pleading
with heaven too many times
Look into my eyes
as I kiss
the scars on your knees
If you continue seeing rain
open yourself for me
My soul will kiss yours
as our passions release
one by one, every pain

Thanks Shian! I don’t know the future, but I guess I’m lucky to have that moment of inspiration, as it feels so good as a writer to get something from the deep into words. Hope you are well there sweetie!

Unbelievably beautiful! But then again it was written by one of the best. I sighed loudly after reading it several times. I agree with Lauren and Shian, that is one lucky woman.

Ah, scott, my fellow “star-harvester”
Am not here — ’tis just a brief visit while passing by. Ofcourse it’s hard to walk by without saying a hello to this shpere… I had been away for a while — and now that I am back, shall definitely take the time to come and sit here. I’ve missed being inspired by your wonderful poetry!
Cheers for now.

I like how you mix the the elements in a subtle way, and in that which derives their existence from them, with life, and love. What a way to explore the moment. Top writing…

A beautiful heartfelt poem. I particularly liked the kiss on the scarred knees. Appreciating the beauty within is so important for love to thrive.

Lovely poem Scott, and also tricky.
First, the mind goes to a beautiful flower that has captivated the heart and evoked the sweet and calm spirit of love inside you.
The mind drifts further, to the sweetness from a rare being, you’ve seen the faults, know the pains, but the heart says, “hey beautiful, it’s ok, I’m here to stay.”
