The words just capture the moment.
Thanks! It was my first Haiku. I analyzed some on the site of LScott Poetry until I felt ready to write one and it just came out as what you see here :)
For more (and better) Haikus, as well as awesome poetry, visit her at:
Yes, her poetry is deep and amazing!
Scott, this is absolutely beautiful…your words, the perfect image and so many meanings in these few syllables; an awesome first haiku and I can’t wait for more from you! And you completely caught me off guard by paying me this HUGE complement! Thank you so much! I am no expert on any type of writing, let alone haiku, and to think you were analyzing mine? Wow, I’m stunned and honored…big hugs and thank you again, my friend! xx
Hey Lauren, it’s comment catch up day for me :D
Thanks for always being here commenting and for sharing your own amazing work/heart always on your blog. Stay blessed forever
How do I begin to apologise for my silence…. ‘Don’t think I have done much reading in a while either :(
I have A LOT of catching up to do….. but I guess this is a start :)
How have you been you? :)
Hey, life happens and we get busy. Very understandable and the same happens to me too often :)
I’m doing very well, thanks. I hope you are well and always hope to see you writing again!
The image..!!!. Is a poem/story on its own… :)
Thanks Maureen! I did spend a great deal of time trying to find the perfect image to match what I was saying. I found almost the perfect one and edited it :)
‘Glaze of spring fragrance …’ how lovely
Thank you Polly. I’m not sure if anybody ever writes romantic haikus, but the secret in this one is that it’s slightly romantic.
I just think it’s beautiful and the photo is so pretty too – I love it that we’re not sure if anybody writes romantic haikus, why not? I say. Have you seen the Spanish form called Shadorma? Stanza’s of six lines (sestets) with no set rhyme scheme. Thought to be a variation of haiku, which is clear from its syllable pattern – you’re good at this Scott, take a look at the Shadorma :)
Beautiful :-) Thank you for sharing
Thanks Crystal! I appreciate your visit and comment!
Thanks Celeste!! Blessings
Just passing along this info to all my ABC Award nominees..….I think it’s a great idea, I have already joined! See you there!

Please also let any other bloggers, that you know have been given the award, know about this group too – then we can all ‘spread the word’
I have also set up a Facebook page – the ABC Award – where you can now add links to all of your blog posts and writing – share your work with a new audience, gain new readers, and find out what other ABC Award bloggers are writing about.
You can find the page here:
Just ‘like’ the page and get started – and do let all your blog readers know about this page – I believe that all of our blogs can only be improved by letting our readers know about other blogs – that way you will also have new readers discover you too!
Happy blogging – and congratulations again on the ABC Award – you’re awesome!

I couldn’t help sharing this beautiful spring haiku from one of the best poets I’ve met on WP. Scott has a romantic heart and a gentle spirit and I’m honored to “know” him! :)
Thanks again Lauren!
I really, really love this photo. :D
Thank you! Hey I’m following you now on tumblr. I just have to get more familiar with tumblr. It’s a little different than what I’m used to but I’ll get it figured out :)

Excellent first attempt, Scott! I really love it.

Such overwhelming beauty, Scott! :D
Hi Scott, I learnt of your blog from GG’s Blog: http://gagangupt16.wordpress.com/. You are in his, “About Some of the Fantastic blogs I have came across…” He wasn’t kidding. My, this poem is beautiful! I’m looking forward to reading more of your poetry.

What an awesome haiku!
The last line evoked so many thoughts with me (I guess that’s why the site is called ‘evoking the deep’). The wings could be golden, platinum, magical – instead they are bronzed. I wonder if it’s a literal image or if the poem hints of greater things to come from the newly emerged creature familiarizing itself with the world.
For me it meant a few things. Even literally bronzed :)
Sorry for my late reply as I’ve had a difficult few months. Thanks so so much for your comment!
Ah… no words for this!!
Now am wondering why I had taken so long to be here.
And I take a deep breath of appreciation again. Thanks so much silentfingers!
