Life and exhilaration
return to a heart
Not for an experience today
Prospecting a dream
for tomorrow
A symphony of emotion
anticipations evolve in a field
of accelerated blossoms
and dance as I wade
under blue skies
Murmurs of a warm soft breeze
tell of hope
A piano concerto in my skin
foretelling the presence
of your touch
From afar I’ll travel
with one resolve
An angel of auburn complexion
pink lush rims
outlining a radiant smile
Scott Mitchell

Your poem holds out hope
for a future we eternally grope.
And there’s always scope

Lovely verse.

What can I say ? Beautiful poetry…..It’s a pity I can’t rhyme to save my soul.

I really like how the rhythms seem to break at the end of each stanza. It seems to make you pause for just a moment and the preceding lines have a chance to sink in. Very well-written. Cheers.

‘Ensuing Embrace’ oozes a simplicity that we often lose entering adulthood. It’s simplicity is potent, reminds me of our childhood innocence. The power to Believe is awsome; your poem captured this.

Though this entire piece is brilliant, this line: “Murmurs of a warm soft breeze
tell of hope
A piano concerto in my skin
foretelling the presence
of your touch”
Is particularly lovely. So stunningly beautiful. Great work
